1968 LA904A Tranny for sale...Torque convertor also...

This is my stout LA904a Tranny that used to be behind my 340 roller motor..it has less than 200 miles on it since it was overhauled...it has Blue Plate special clutches...Kevlar bands and a riveted roller sprag...I spent lots of money or this tranny to let it set...it has set for over a year since I put the 440 in my Dart...it comes with no neutral safety switch...no speedo adaptor nor a kickdown or shift levers...it will come with a 2200-2400 stall torque convertor...this was the factory one that was cut opened and worked on...I have no idea what shipping would cost or intail...$500.00 bucks to the first person...I suggest disassembling and cleaning up prior to use..It has been sitting in storage...

damn,i need this! shipping would kill me,i can get a sizzler from summit for $750,hmmm.tempting...in ohio 43440
Tci sizzler pos...I let you have it for 400.00 bucks...beat that with a torque convertor too....shipping would be about 100.00 bucks...I can strap it to a pallet and it can be picked up at my work...
 
when you mean it should be disassembled,do you mean i would have to rebuild,i dont know anything about the internals of a trans,just looking for something i can bolt up and go.plus,is this tranny over kill for me?i have a 1970 318 bored .030 with 360(587 castings)heads,.464 cam,stock lower end,i figure 300-325 horse at the most,and would be for street use only.one more thing,would this tranny fit the stock driveshaft with a 8.25 rear with 3.55 gears,with all stock kickdown,ect.?sorry,just want to make sure its what i need without getting over my head!

Take it apart and clean it...it has been sitting for over a year in a dusty storage with not all of the holes covered..is what I mean...it will not slap right into place for you....mine was a 340 with a eight and three quarter rear end...drive shaft length will be different...kick down is the same and your combination will not be overkill...
