1969 Barracuda formula S 340-4 speed

-
Someone here mentioned a few years ago He thought The car was built before the Cuda became available, which to my knowledge was around October? Apparently Mopar built some showroom cars on the first day, which is 801 on the tag.it is a real A53 loaded car, with buckets,C16 console ,B41 and B51 power Disc brakes, 3;23 sure grip, R21 Am/FM , N85 tach, and V78 stripe delete.

Make sure the ground wire in your dual point is intact. It could be the cause if you have weak or no spark.
That’s funny it’s broken. I was just researching that , I’ll pull the distributor tomorrow and make repair. Waiting on new points. Can’t wait to hear it start….. fingers crossed. I’m not built to restore this car. But I’ll get it to moving phase then decide its fate. Stay tuned.

And thoughtless I was, sorry for taking over the post from the original OP!
not often a 69 barracuda gets posted, I lost my head!

Capt46 Bill, you or someone else needs to save it. Numbers drivetrain suggests it should be its fate.
oldmopardude, can you share a fender tag pic of the ‘cuda? Maybe start a new post of yours. Amen for ‘69 posts.

We’ll have to see.
I don’t feel confident enough to take it on.

what an Idea! I hadn't considered it!
I have only now Finally gotten to the end with my engine, so the car has been sitting a long time.

Big $$$ resto. Would be nice to save. Please do it justice.

So I don’t want to make the wrong entry..
I recently acquired this project has
A lot of rust.
But it’s complete minus the glass.
100% correct drivetrain. I’ll get it running as soon as it warms up.
Unknown what the future will be for this.. stay tuned.

Was it caught in a fire?

Its not 1981, all the #s are there so its a no-brainer that the car is worth saving instead of being parted out.

You could always fix the bare minimum, get it running/driving. It'd be the first car I'd check out at any show

Congratulations on getting it running
Very good score. Now get it to stop
Agree it needs to be revived
Just don’t tear it all down at once or you will lose interest
