1969 Dart - does the windlace go under the sill plate?

Pretty simple. I am at the point where I am putting windlace on the car. I dont remember taking any off. I dont know if it goes all the way under the sill plate or not.

Yes, mine or original and they clearly go under the sill, hard to see in this picture but you can see the color difference where the sill covered them.

They are not in position, don't recall why we needed to move them on this project, I do recall having to remove a lot more than I thought to get to where we were going.

They just tuck under the sill plate an inch or so. I bought a set recently, I think from Detroit Muscle Technology.

Early Bs..all way under the sill. I doubt early As any different??
