I have a clean 69 Dart body that I am using the front to repair my car. It has a nice non vinyl top roof $400 hood hinges $80. The quarter panels have a little rust down on the bottom by the trunk extension, passenger door $150.Fender $150 each. The floor is nice but I am cutting across the torsion bar cross member. I’m in Petaluma 40 miles North of San Francisco on 101. I bought the car in the high desert so not much rust, a little on the surface.

Well after 7 years of no activity on a car they are dropped from the system and there are no fees, it is very easy to reinstate them. I really don’t have a problem with the way the DMV works I just reinstated a 1968 GTS that hadn’t been licensed since 1975 and the VIN verification at the Highway Patrol was easy and free. The DMV reregistered for a year and gave me new plates for $124. l have sold cars to people in other States, Texas for one, that have to have a bonded title ect, I can’t complain when you can drag an old car out of a field and if it has a vin or serial number or just numbers on the frame you can register it in your name after the vin verification and the Cop loved the GTS. I registered a 37 Plymouth pickup that only had 7 number stamped on the frame by the front wheel. I appreciate the Highway Patrol doing a good job with no hassles, just make an appointment, take it down there on the day and done.
