I like what this guy has done with the 1967 GT panel.
Obviously, it is not correct. But it looks like it could work for the right person....

It goes with the black bumble stripe.

There is a type of plastic that looks black but light passes thru it. We had a sign on our building that was black during the day and white at night.

That would carry the black through.

Yeah it looks cool! I am going to have a custom piece made for mine as well but in the stock spot. I just want it to say Swinger. Mines not a GT but I love the panel. I just installed it yesterday. I have the thinner trunk panel strip if anyone is interested. It NOS. Amazing condition.
