I am putting up for sale my 1969 GTS Dart which is an original 383 car, one of the 488 automatic cars made and according to the fender tag one of the last made. The body numbers on the core support and trunk lip match the VIN. The broadcast sheet found in the car is for different Big Block Dart.

This car came into my state from Kansas and was in Missouri for a number of years prior to that. There is an inspection sticker from Missouri on the windshield from 1981. The car currently has a 1970 383 in it which runs very well, a 727 transmission, the correct exhaust manifolds, the 383 Big Block K-Frame, the correct A-Body 8 ¾ rearend with a 3:23 Sure Grip and an unusual option of a rear window defroster. The car currently yard drives, it wouldn't take much to make it street worthy if you wanted to drive it during a restoration process. It is 98% complete, lacking primarily the trunk finish panel, the rocker spears (I have a friend who has these if you need them) and a couple miscellaneous trinkets. The upper dash pad is very good shape for its age, I can find only one small flaw which is hard to see. The car is titled.

The car overall is in very solid condition. It is an undercoated car and this seems to have preserved the car very well on the bottom side. That being said it will need new quarters, driver's side foot well (remainder of floors appear solid), and some small metal patches in the rockers, lower fenders at door area and the typical area where the vinyl roof meets the dutchman panel. The trunk area appears good and trunk extensions do not need to be replaced. There has been one exterior repaint many years ago, the door jambs are in original paint. I am asking $ 9200.00 for the car and am willing to listen to a reasonable offer.

This is my best assessment of the car, come look for yourself.

I recently put this car on E-bay. Apparently the world thinks this car is worth less than I do, imagine that. The bidding ended at 8501.00. I will therefore reduce the price on my car to 8500.00.

Sooosweet car,, had one in 1972 right after I got married the starter went out and I couldn't buy a rebuilt one for $18. so I ended up selling the car 2 months later for $225. Man those were the days..... fast car 383 auto
