1969 Valiant Signet 318 4speed

I find it truly sad how pathetic I really am with a computer...

Its all right. I was and still am really pathetic with computers....modern technology:angry7:
Quantum53 did you at-least save the fender tag, build sheet or other parts from it? Do you have a picture of it:-D

Here's one! The wife finally figured it out for me! The front fenders are off of a 1974, I am keeping my eyes out for a set of 69's since the sidemarker lamps are somewhat out of place and the "Valiant Signet" badges won't fit properly.

Thanks for the interest guys, I am shocked at the lack of decent detailed pictures I actually have of the car. Next nice day before snow flies I will try to snap some good exterior/interior/engine shots...although I must warn you its currently wearing a 1974 air cleaner. No worries though I have an original '69 that I have to restore and repaint.

Hey Dan, welcome to FABO!!!!

where abouts in MI are you? Im in the Jackson area.

if you have a fender tag you can post some numbers from ,we can all break down alot more about your car.

also a build sheet would be even better! most cases build sheets are long gone or have become mouse bedding but you may luck out!

some places the build sheet like to hide is under the carpet (more so on drivers side) under the back seat stuffed under the springs, sometimes under the front seat aswell and also sometimes stuffed in the back part of a bucket seat, under the headliner and some are attached to the back of the glove box liner.

I LOVE the 69 valiant grilles ( so much infact that I put one in my 72 plymouth duster lol)

My duster is still a work in progress but if you want to check it out there is a link to my resto located in my signature below....or you could pick up the December issue (came out in october though) of Mopar Muscle Magazine and check it out.

Dusters looking good, I really like the grille out of the '69 too! I wasn't in the 101st Airborne, but my father was in Vietnam. That plate serves as both a sign of his pride of serving our great country and it covers a rough spot on the bumper!

The reason I ask is I worked with a trucker that had that plate from being 101st and in Vietnam. His nam nickname is Rawhide. I respect him and others for what they had to go through at such young ages.

Nice to see another guy with a 69 Valiant...I read once the production for 4 speed 69 Valiants was 56, but that sure isn't carved in stone. Definately a rare beast. My dad ordered his Signet form Goddard Chrysler-Plymouth in St.Louis, Missouri, and got a 2 door with a 273, 3 speed on the column, 8.75 rear, hd suspension and electrical/cooling. And quick ratio manual box. Basically the trailer tow package with hitch delete.
I remember him telling me the 4 speed was a $30 option at the time and he just couldn't swing it, being a working family man on a tight budget. That car served us well until it wore out and was sold about 1979. Inspired me to get one when I came across mine and they'll have to bury me in it!
Alan

In 69 my brother was going into the service and went to order a Valiant 4-speed but the Dealer talked him into waiting a month and get the ''New" Valiant Duster 340.
