I was at a car show today and I saw a 1970 Challenger that had "360 Four Barrel" emblems on the hood. I thought that was strange. Did Dodge put 360s in Challengers in 1970? Unfortunately, I did not think to look at the grill or tail lights to confirm it was a 70, but that is what the car show registration form on the dash said, and you'd think the owner would know.

70 was not available with a 360 from the factory. the only E-body challenger to have a 360 was the 74 "L" code challenger.

the 340 was available until the 73 model year and the 360 replaced the 340 in 74. Low performance 360s were available earlier in C-bodies. 74 was the first year they put a 4 bbl. and good heads on the 360 ....before that it was Polara propellant

My guess would be the owner did not have the original engine to the car. So they dropped in the 360 and added the later badges.

the first 360 was in 1971 in c bodies and maybe trucks with decent J heads and 1.88" intake valves
