I didn't have an original carb like you do so I went with the AVS650. If had one, for a totally stock engine, I would lean towards rebuilding if the throttle plates and bores are in good shape.

First off, have you determined that the carb is even the reason that it "runs little ruff"?
A little discoloration at the carb seams doesn't necessarily mean that it's leaking. I would definitely rebuild the original Carter (it's already an AVS, by the way) if for no other reason than to get gaskets and seals in it that are compatible with today's fuels.

I'd use that all day long over an aftermarket carb. Automatic choke, fast idle, etc. everything fits.

Put a vacuum gauge on it first and see about how much idle vacuum it has. Adjust mixture screws for max vacuum.

Thanks to all,I have only got the car a couple weeks ago,Just when I got it home and did a good inspection, I notice the gaskets looked liked there leaking. I am going to do complete tune up on it,but wanted to start with obvious.
