Thanks Guys... swap was a mild pain... Nothing too crazy, but nothing was easy either. lol.... I went with the 4l60e automatic and upgraded it some:

Beast Sunshell
.500 Boost Valve
Bigger low/reverse boost valve
Racing Band
Racing Shift Kit
Alto Red Clutches
Z-Pack (3-4 clutches)
High Rev Pump Spring
Hardened Pump Rings
