1970 Ford Charger?

O.k... You know how us Duster owners are sick of having people calling are cars Novas right?!?!

Well a buddy of mine has a 1970 Ford Galaxie. 1970 Galaxies are fairly unknown unlike 67's 68. For that reason every ask what it is, and everyone keeps asking him if it's a Charger.

So just to really mess with people he actually installed Charger tail lights!
I told him he was nuts, but he actually did it.

Is this blasphemy?

at first glance i thought the charger lights were supposed to be there.

good looking car with either tail lights....fords of that era are wayyy under-appreciated.

im prolly going to get some heat for saying that .....i will never own anything other than MOPAR ...but i like to look at all American Iron :prayer:
 
actually I wouldn't know a charger tail light from any other tail light, so I have no problem with it.

...it's just charger parts, not like he used A-body parts:angel5:


...but the originals looked better lol.
 
Darn right it's blasphemy.
Who ever heard of installing a Ford on Charger lights, Jees.
That's a downgrade. :)
 
He did do a pretty good job.
He's working on repaint the whole car.

I think it look's just like a 65 impala at first glance minus a taillight on each side. Look's cool though.
 
Except for the bottom lip, it kinda looks like a Dart decklid and fender extensions.
 
I'll take that car... I'm not a traitor... I like all cool cars from that era. Keepin the Dart for sure tho... me thinks mostly the Charger guys will get their panties in a bunch over it.
 
'68 Charger's are one of my all time favorite cars!! But I love nearly all the cars from the 60s n 70s cars! I'd take it!
 
To me it lookes more like a Biscayne rear end!

American muscle is American muscle i like them all! Now if it was a set of Toyota taillights it would be way different! Lmao
 
Actually he bought them off of Ebay and the lens were slightly melted. They weren't actually "perfect good", but perfectly good enough for the project.
 
I don't like the looks of it, the originals look better in my opinion.

It's his car, he can do what he wants.
 
When I look at it I see a chevy impala , looks good but I agree, I enjoy fabrication
work, I had a flat bed 71 dodge truck and cut the light area out of a rubber T/A head
light area and flipped them upside down, they stayed dry and was very bright.
Yes this was well over 15 years ago but it was fun and look/worked great,
