1970 Valiant 4 door for sale. I've owned this car twice. It first came here from OK when it only had about 40k on it. I bought it from the elderly lady owner, put a new radiator in it, and sold it to a local guy. It had a 3 speed trans with the shifter on the column. He had problems with the shifter so he put an aftermarket one in the floor. He put about 30k on it and the trans got noisy so he started to put an automatic in it but didn't finish it. I bought the car back and finished the trans install, converted it to power steering, and installed the correct column with shifter. I also put the correct harness on it so the neutral safety switch and reverse lights work as factory.

It has garage rash from when the elderly lady drove it but is the most solid old car I own. It has virtually no rust! It has beautiful inner fenders, floors (some light surface rust only on the bare metal), and a very nice trunk.

Mechanically, it runs and drives great. Prior to the trans change the previous owner drove it daily. I think the only thing it needs is a tail pipe and some better tires.

The interior needs work as the previous owner hauled a couple of big dogs with him and they tore up the headliner, seats, and vinyl floor. He got rid of the front seat but I still have the rear. The dash pad has one crack but the door panels are still nice.

The front bumper on the car is a rusty re-chrome but I have one that needs some streightening but the chrome is pretty nice. I also have a better rear bumper for it.

The car would make a good work beater with minimal work or would be a really solid car to restore. It's located in south central MO and I'm asking $1450 for it.

Thanks for looking,
Dallas

This car has a beautiful grille and still has all original paint except for the left front fender. The taillights have nice chrome.

Here is a pic of the engine compartment before I sold it the first time. It still looks nice (not quite this nice) 30k later. I'll take some pics of the trunk and post them tomorrow.

Dallas, that looks like a pretty nice car.

It's remarkably rust free and it runs so nice.

I took some new pics of the engine compartment and trunk today. The trunk is really nice with only a bit of surface rust that would clean up easily. That's actually mostly dirt in the spare tire well.
