Check out this Demon on eBay! It has the original 340 & the guy says the engine looks good, too! Only 22 hours left & the next bid will meet the reserve! You've gotta' see the engine pic! :toothy10:

As usual, I can't get the link to work! Here's the item # 260342731572

That's a VIN swap restoration just waiting to happen!.

What a mess and sad to see. It's originally a manual 3 speed car, not a 4 speed.

A lot of good parts on that car.

8-3/4" rear
1971 340 shortblock
Dual snorkel scoop
150 mph rallye gauge cluster with wire harness
1970-71 Dart/Demon grille
1971-72 Demon tail lights
A-body 4-speed pedals
A-body floor shift steering column
Front fender extensions
Marker light set
Window/drip rail mouldings

Those parts alone are easily worth $1,250.00, even with todays more realistic prices.

My guess is that you would need a plasma cutter to get the pistons out of the block but the rest may be salvageable.

MAN!!!!!That car is totally HURTING!!!!!! I dont care what it has for parts. The parts it does have dont seem worth the headache of dealing with it.

That motor would free up. Use a lil PB Blaster on each cylinder and it will come free. I did that on this motor (somewhat cleaned up before I took the pic) and the PB freed it up in about 3 minutes.

Sad car yes,but restorable if you wanna spend the money. I usually use diesel to free up a locked motor.

Wish I had the money. I'd snap it up.
