early 1971 340 030 over with fresh machine shop clean up
steel 340 crank and rods forged flat tops trw
69 x heads with new seats and valve guides
larger valves ,springs
long block needs assembly
still in machine shop for inspection and any questions

what was done to the block after the machine shop clean up? Is it a long block that needs assembly to be complete or needs to be assembled to get to long block?
 
engine had a seasonal go over everything checked and any faults taken care of
needed new valve guides and replaced seats on x heads , 3 angle valve job
did not need new pistons or anything like that,all good ,engine is currently apart for inspection due to sale and just needs to be put back together with fresh rings and bearings and gasket set. have everything to put back together except flywheel or flexplate

casting numbers available will trade
for bodywork and paint job of equal value 3k on 62 lancer
 
will trade engine and all available parts
for complete body work and paint job

Nice little car there. Don't see many of those.

No offense, but do you have any idea what a complete paint job and full body work would cost?
 
yep .look at pics ,the car does not need rotiseree has just minor paint flaking from old paint job and some bubbles and no collision work and only 53k miles,so i feel is a fair trade to strip paint
finish some minor bubble issues and paint and clear coat.

rustbusters in lithonia ga and i know what is involved.
 
3k for strip and paint, good luck with that.
 
Someone with pay the money for your engine before a bodyshop will paint and strip
for 3k.
 
you might be right
engine is worth more than 3k and # was arbitrary paint wise
but times are changing and cash not a commodity
in either industry and have many friends that paint for a living folding businesses
the deal is fair
and is what i am offering and will stick to it.
 
alfonso, you might want to check on supplies to paint a car. They have skyrocketed in the past year or so. You're gonna be looking at around 2000-2500 for supplies alone. It's ridiculous.
 
i decided to leave car as survivor for a while and shuffling funds and clearing the v8 out.it is selfish to hold on to something for the sake of saying i have one.it does nothing for the soul
the gas is too crazy for me to do anything but enjoy car as it is ,and selling the 340 to
let someone else play with it and free up some cash for other things.so anybody need a fresh engine with all the machining and fitting done ,pm me

will have it by mon the casting numbers and the date on both .the block is jan 71 340 block and the heads from what can remenber were 3-69 X heads
 
would you like a trade? i have a corvette engine, 350 4-bolt main, standard steel crank nitrated,with forged steel rods with arp bolts.10.5.1 flat top pistons with valve releifs. cromemolyrings melling high volume oil pump,cloyes true roller doulble chain. crane 292 deg duration and 501 lift. matching lifters. matching chrome moly bigger pushrods. with matching double roller valve springs. the heads are 461 double hump off of 327-375 fulie vette. the best early heads u can buy. they have screw in studs guide plates harland sharp roller rockers the valves are stainless steel 205-160 went bigger on intake 3angle valve job. victor jr intake. hei electronic ignition. 8mm plugwires. water pump pullys top and bottom, everthing balanced the short block was new never in car. i upgraded it with new parts. i have over $3000 in this engine i need 340 for dodge demon.
