Hello FABO. I am selling the Mopar I have put my heart and soul into for the past 5 years. I love it... but enjoy the building more than the driving... and I have run my course with this car and done everything I wanted to do. Here are the highlights.

1971 Plymouth Scamp with a '70 Dart front end
Engine:
  • 1977 360 block, stock bore, stock deck
  • Eagle I beam rods
  • KB107STD pistons, .012" below deck
  • Calculated 11:1 compression
  • Aluminum heads purchased through Brian @ IMM - Indio Motor Machine. He buys the imported blanks and does his magic.
  • Brian built the heads for me with a 500hp goal while still maintaining a 3.58" stroke. I have a couple grand worth of work into these heads with Brian.
  • PRW PQx adjustable stainless steel 1.6 rockers
  • B3 Racing Engines geometry correction kit
  • Isky solid flat tappet: 250/258 @ .050, roughly .650" lift - spec'd by Brian
  • Ported Victor 340 intake and 1" spacer
  • Holley Brawler Race 850 carb, in which I have countless hours of tuning. I buy my own blanks and micro drill bits. Idle feed restrictors have been tuned to provide decent MPG without sacrificing performance.
  • Ready-to-Run distributor that I curved.
  • TTi 1-7/8” race headers, coated
  • Butt dyno indicates that the ~500hp goal was accomplished
Transmission:
  • Brand new Tremec TKX swap purchased from Silver Sport Transmissions (check this thread out) ~ $6k
  • Cruise down the highway at 75-80mph and ~2500-2700rpm, getting good mileage
  • McLeod "Street Extreme" clutch - nothing really extreme about it. Drives super smooth and is rated to 700hp.
  • Hydraulic release bearing with concentric slave cylinder - eases clutch effort & engagement smoothness, and frees up space around bellhousing.
  • Solid 1350 u-joints on both ends of driveshaft. Strange pinion yoke.
  • Depending on the price we agree on, I still own the entire 727 setup and can include that in the deal. 727 with full RMV, added capacity cast aluminum pan with drain plug, B&M MegaShifter, driveshaft, custom $1100 ATI converter built for this car to be street/strip driven (stalls ~3500, flashes close to 5000).
Rear end:
  • 8 ¾ 742 case, 4.10 Richmond gears, SureGrip equipped
  • Braced and narrowed just ¾” on each side to fit 275/60/15 tires without rubbing
  • 28” Nitto radials
  • Can also include a 3.55 third member, 741 case, 7290 pinion yoke. No need to lash gears, just swap and go! No SureGrip on that one.
Body:
  • Zero rust
  • Painted Dark Chestnut T9 in 2008
  • Original bench seat interior, original steering wheel, newer carpet and upholstery.
Scarebird disc conversion on the front, drums in the back. Fantastic pedal feel with the cast aluminum DoctorDiff brake master cylinder.

Real Time Engineering solid state IVR.

Full 3” custom exhaust all the way to the tailpipes. Mufflers are the new straight through FlowFX. NO drone, quiet and comfortable until you step on it. I can have a normal conversation in the car without raising my voice.

I have put roughly 20,000 miles on this engine/drivetrain, and I’m proud to say it has never left me hanging! 2,000 of those miles were a cross country move from Indianapolis, IN to Joshua Tree, CA. Believe it or not, on one of the tanks I averaged 17mpg. I couldn’t believe it myself. It always starts and does what it needs to do, no matter if it’s a 20 degree day in the Indianapolis winter or a 110 degree day in the high desert summer. Cold starts and hot starts are both a breeze, despite the “race” carb with no choke.

I have access to a truck and trailer, delivery can be arranged.

Located in Joshua Tree, CA 92252.

Asking price is $28k obo. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for reading.
