1971 Dodge Dart Swinger 318 2 door hardtop, with 130k original miles, was bought as a (running driving) project car. It's got some nice upgrades and modifications done that are generic enough to make it a drag or road car. It's 80% through the restoration process. Still runs and drives great. Has been garage kept for the last year or so without much road time.
Below is a list of parts that have been installed/replaced. Car has been driven maybe less than 500 miles with parts installed, so everything is pretty new.
Edelbrock 600 Carb
Aeromotive Phantom Fuel System (in tank pump, return, fuel rails, regulator, filter, etc.)
New fuel tank
New battery
K&N Xtreme Air Flow Top Filter
Crane Pro Curve Billet Distributor – Part #1000-1801
Crane HI-6 Digital Ignition – Part #6000-6445
Crane LX-92 Coil – Part #730-0892
Weiand Stealth Intake Manifold – Part #8022
Holley Chrome Fuel Pump – Part #12-360-11
Hooker Super Comp headers – Part #5116-1HKR
Pypes true dual muffler exhaust (sounds amazing)
New engine mounts
New trans mount
Strange S60 35 spline with Posi, 3.54:1
Borgeson Power Steering Pump
Wilwood Forged Dynalite Big Brakes, front and rear
Viking VSK217 double adjustable shocks
Hotchkis Geometry Corrected Leaf Spring kit
PST Steering Linkage Kit
PST Tubular Front Control Arms
PST Ball Joint and Shaft Kit
American Racing VN425 Torque Thrust 17 inch wheels (offset)
Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR tires (235/45R17 front, 255/40R17 back)
Registration is also current.
Remaining restoration tasks:
- Car needs paint and body work, but it's not bad enough to shy away from going to a car show with it. I've gone to several! The body is straight with no major damage or frame issues.
- The interior is in good shape, but not perfect. Some seams are busted in the cushion covers and the springs need to be replaced in the front seat. The dash and door panels in great shape.
- Engine main seals could be replaced eventually (has a small oil leak).
$13,500 OBO. Feel free to ask questions. I have this build well documented. Located in SoCal, Riverside County.
