1971 Duster- Does Anyone Have UNDER-THE-DASH Photos Showing (1) the Parking Brake Lever Assembly, and (2) Location of the Parking Brake Cable Grommet?

A previous owner of my car installed Wilwood drag race brakes at all 4 corners and removed the entire parking brake (PB) system, from the PB lever assembly all the way back to the rear axle. I need to reinstall a PB system to make the car street legal.

Members here graciously provided me with photos of the PB cable routing and grommet from the engine bay side. From the engine side, the existing holes in my firewall look just slightly different from the member photos, for whatever reason.

So now I would like to see if anyone here has photos showing the PB cable and grommet from the under-dash side. Reason: My under-dash firewall has a 1-1/2" diameter hole next to the PB lever support bracket that has been covered and welded closed (see attached photos) and I'm hoping that it wasn't the PB cable grommet hole.

Thanks FABO nation. Dave

BTW, in the attached photos, the two black wires shown below the PB firewall bracket lead from the ignition switch to the ignition coil and to the battery. The wires penetrate the firewall thru a 1" diameter rubber grommet that is covered by the two strips of black tape.

On my '74 Duster the parking brake cable and grommet are in about the same position as your tape and wire pass through is. The welded up hole isn't there at all on my '74.

The parking brake cable, hole, and grommet are directly below the flange for the parking brake mount. If you remove the tape on your car you should probably see that the parking brake cable hole is located on the corner of that stamped recess for the lower steering column mount. The pedal in the picture is the clutch pedal, the oval plug next to the steering column mount would have been for the clutch linkage (this was in the middle of a hydraulic clutch conversion)

Thanks 72. Your pic confirms my suspicion that the prior owner, after removing the PB cable, used the PB grommet hole to run the 2 black ignition wires to the coil and battery - I'm gonna have to relocate those wires.
