I have a bare uni-body for sale from a ’71 Plymouth Duster Twister. I bought this car to be a project but ended up parting it out due to necessity in hard times. I’ve had the body for sale for the last year & have had only moderate interest from enthusiasts & several deadbeat bidders on Ebay, which has been very discouraging. The time has come where I need it out of my garage to make room for preparation of putting my ’79 Chrysler 300 up for sale. This will be the last chance to buy this body. If nobody buys before the end of this month (April), I will have no option but to take it to the recycler. That’s not what I want for the car because it’s a very solid foundation for a project, which I wish I were in a position to do myself.

The frame rails & undercarriage are rock solid. The front floor pan on the driver’s side has been replaced, as well as the spare tire well in the trunk, though I think the complete trunk floor & extensions should be replaced. It needs a tail light panel & rocker panel on the passenger side, & lower patches on the quarter panels. What you see is what you get. No surprises. The car has a clear
Georgia title. Also included are the vin tag, 2 partial (which will make one) build sheets & fender tag. The car was originally a 318 with a floor shift automatic. FE5 red with black deluxe bucket seat interior.

I still have a really nice hood & deck lid (a few other parts too) I’d bought to use on the car. They are not included with the body but are for sale, first option to the buyer of the car. I can send more pictures upon request.

Asking $525. Kevin please pm me

I’m open to reasonable offers. Please don’t offer scrap price as I can take it to the scrap yard myself if that’s what it comes to. The wheeled dollies on the car are borrowed from a friend & are NOT included. I will help you or your agent load it onto a trailer or transport.

The dash frame was sold last year. The vin tag was removed by drilling out the rivets. Here are some pictures of the hood. Asking $175. It's super solid. No crash damage. It has holes pre-cut in the underbracing for the twin scoops, which this car originally had. Once again, buyer of the car has first option.

There isn't a ton of stuff left from the car. I had parted out a '71 Demon 340 with intent of using several parts on this car. I have the 340 car leaf springs & torsion bars, 727 transmission & driveshaft. I'm open to a package deal if someone came out to see everything that's left & made an offer.

lol funny question, but would you consider selling the hood-to-radiator seal to me from the hood? shoot me a PM, best of luck with selling the car i saw it on eBay a few times suprised they fell through, seems like a helluva deal!

If you were closer, I'd snap that up to sit next to my Sizzler :banghead: DAMN! I would SO strip my Duster to put that baby together and sell my shell to boot. If you can not find a buyer, would you mind checking out what shipping to Washington State would be before scrapping that car?

I hadn't thought about parting out the hood, but I will if the buyer of the car (I'm optimistic) is not interested. I'll keep you in mind if that happens.

I just went to McNutt Transport's web site & pluged in '71 Duster from Snellville GA to Seattle WA. It said $1,592 for shipping.

It sure would be a nice car to restore. I sure wanted to. Here's what it looked like before disassembly. The car has lots of potential.

This is the deck lid I'd bought for the car. No rust at all. Originally had factory go-wing. $175, first option to the buyer of the car.

What a shame to part that car out and then crush the body. Poor Twister.

Its a damn shame you didn't offer the car when it was complete to someone who could restore it. It would take alot more money to bring it back now. To bad people are more about the money than saving mopars that would be worth restoring.

to ypo cuda67.............

how do you know he did not try to sell it locally, and had all these tires kicker come out and beat him over the head on the price. i had one like this one here for sale, with all the big dollar ites and it was a 340 car with all paperwork. i could not get 2800.00 for it. but, i parted it and got almost 6k in parts off it. do the math. if it was on here for sale for 500 whole, he still would of had offers of 200.00 and him trailer it to them for free! and, and only then after parting it did he find this site!...............

easy to judge a situation, witout even knowing all the underlying factors

Hey just my feelings. You are right I don't know the whole deal. You prove my point though its more about the money then it is about saving the cars for the future of our hobby. I can see parting out the cars you just bought but that duster looked in damn good shape. I guess everybody including myself are just trying to keep my head above water.
