Barry, I tagged you since you are one of the best number gurus I know of and probably have access to more Hamtramck broadcast sheets than anyone.
This also goes out to anyone with a 72 340 A body with an original broadcast sheet.
The issue I'm having is finding the "correct" radiator part number for a 72 Duster/Demon 340 auto trans. All the legible broadcast sheets I've found online for said models, across multiple SPD months, have the number "36" under RAD on Line 3. I was under the impression that is the last 2 digits of the part number. I believe that would be indicating radiator 3574636. However, the parts number book, and lists I've found online both show 3574636 as being manual trans only. What gives?
Further support come from Joseph P's original survivor 72 Duster 340 auto. His broadcast sheet says 36 and his radiator is 3574636. His and mine were both built the last week of Oct 71, Hamtramck plant. I don't have my broadcast sheet, but my 340 auto also has radiator 3574636. To further complicate things, mine has AC and his doesn't.
Didn't the 70-71 a body 340's use the same radiator, regardless of transmission? Is it possible that 72 did as well but an error was entered into the part number book?
