As the title states, what’s the value of a 1972 Valiant sedan.

It has a good slant six that is bored out 0.030”, it’s an ‘87 block with a 1970 head that was milled and has new valves, new positive seals, new springs, Comp Cams 220/220 camshaft and a restored Holley 1920. Outwardly it’s stock.

The transmission is a stock A904 and it had new gaskets, the driveshaft has new u-joints.

Exhaust is a TTi 2 1/2” system

The rear end is an 8 3/4” 3.23 Sure-Grip. It had 14”x5.5” SPB wheels powder coated in black with NOS Deluxe wheel covers and new E70-14 white line tires.

Brakes are Kelsey Hayes power discs with 10”x 1 3/4” drums in the rear, all new parts with stainless lines and braided steel hoses.

Fuel system has a new tank and straps, new fuel pump, emissions equipment is all there and correctly installed.

This car has an AM/FM radio, rear speaker, rear defogger, light package, factory hood pad/undercoating, left and right mirrors, new carpet and much more.

I’m looking for a reasonable number and if enough interest is there I can post it for sale with pictures. TIA.

You look like one too, prick.
Oh, I was just fixing to post up what I thought it was worth. See, I didn't make the connection from your screen name to your car, because I cannot remember everything. I like that car too. I thought you were doing a good job on it. But since I'm a prick and YOU'RE the one who couldn't be bothered to link first, OR post a picture so we'd KNOW the car you were talking about, you can pound sand.

I totally agree. I won’t look or help either. Kim

interior looks reasonable. is the **** in the dash all hooked back up and functional? got the windshield back in?

no pics of the undercarriage, how's the floors and rails? how's the usual problem areas around the windows and such due to a vinyl top?

she's a little rough around the edges but you got some good parts in there with the front end and rear.

based on comps in my area, i'd say around $3000 if somebody really wanted a slant car.

Let's recap.. Guy buys a car less than 6 months ago, does a little here and a little there.. rips a bunch of **** apart then wants a fair evaluation of what it's worth. The major components of value to the masses are: 8.75 AXLE, KELSEY HAYS BRAKES AND MAYBE THE /6.. Unless someone just had to have it as complete the value is in those parts. So now we've basically got a car that does less than it did when you got it, purely from the pics it doesn't run, doesn't drive, dash is hanging, and windshield is out.

Sedan, 2 or 4 door ?. Sold my 68 273 with a fresh drive train, tires, disc brakes, and complete new interior.
About 6 years ago. Got $6,000. great car but not much value.Maybe more if it was a 2 door.
Just a thought.
