Purchased my car the other day and the deck lid was sitting on the hinges with a broom stick holding them down.. does anyone know how to re attach it? I just don't know how I would put a nuts on the other side of the bolts because theres no holes in the other side of the skeleton to reach through?? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Are the holes on the hinges themselves threaded?

There should be threaded inserts on the hinge arms. A picture would help, not sure if your hinges or deck lid have been modified.

Stock looks like this, the hinge arms slide into the deck lid, the bolts come in from the outside and thread into the hinge arms.

I'll check the inner square tube holes facing each other to the inside to see if they are threaded to allow the bolt in the picture to thread into then. Thanks!

The holes themselves aren't threaded, there's a nutsert type deal in the tubing for the hinge. It's kinda hard to tell but that's what's in the tube

Alrighty guys.. So I looked at the arms and it had the nut zert plates in there along with bolts!! I put my deck lid on and put the fasteners in and tried to shut the trunk.. was to far rearward. I loosened the bolts and pushed the lid as far back as I could and tried shutting. Still to far rearwards.. It has about a 2" gap from the bottom of the windshield and won't shut. The striker is hitting the panel the lock cylinder attaches too. I can't find any instructions to see if i'm missing any parts. I'll add photos from my phone later to give y'all an idea. Thanks

Definitely going to need pictures. 2" is a lot. Sounds like the hinges or mounts have been messed with. Pictures of the hinges and the hinge supports would be helpful.
