Salida, did you grow up here?
This car was driven here for many years by the old lady.
That would be before it moved here from Wyoming.

I would think you could still apply for a title.
If the vin is all their and it is out of the system. You should be able to get one.
aT LEAST HERE IN california you could. May be worth looking into.

Wow, all these guys who lived in Salida!!! I moved to Canon City when I was 14 and lived there for ten years, and my mom still does. (Too bad I got my motorhead characteristics from my dad -- it'd be a terrific score.)

Kevin -- who knew??? We probably went to some of the same social functions.

Here's another little bump in the quest for a good home. This baby deserves it! Good luck Cuda Hunter.

With all the numbers matching on the car, I can get another title here in Colorado.
Just have to have the car road worthy or they will not issue a new title.
Plus I have to jump through about 8 hoops. Then pay a surity bond to show that I think it is worth the appraised amount.
Not sure if I get the bond money back. I would assume so.
really, I have a 71 cuda that I need parts for, this will help me with the progress on my cuda.

Thanks for the bump cudachick. Did you hunt dinosaurs at all when you were in Canon City? Lots of them around that area. All the dinosaurs that are type specimens from the jurassic era that are in all the eastern coast museums came from Canon City's back yard.

I am in AZ and I had about $1500 saved up to buy a duster (my first car and nostalgia has hit) Then I tore my ACL and im on workmans comp for a few months.

can you say FRICK!!

id definately drive from phoenix to CO for that car at that price. To be honest, I am shocked you havent had any real bites. I know I am drooling.

Hey now, I know I'm old but dinosaurs were still quite a bit before my time. :-D

Fossil hunting is one of my favorite things that I haven't done in ages, and I've got a serious box of them on the parts trailer that I've been carting around with me from state to state all my life. My mom told me they hit a mother lode in Red Canyon Park a few years ago. You didn't hear it from me, but I can't say that I'm one bit surprised. :-\" :angel13:

There isn't any visible Morrison Formation around here that I've noticed, but I still don't know much about Tennessee geology. Not enough time in the day for the requirements, let alone personal curiosity research. :-D

I need to pick up a car from Springfield, Alabama. If anyone is interested, maybe we could work out a towing setup to make it cheaper.

Truly Vintage is headed from Denver to Pennsylvania and has room if anyone is interested. He is headed on the 17th. I could trailer it to Denver.

The lincoln just sold a few months ago. I got a good price on it. It was a 64 Vert. Original gold with pink interior. Pink was not even offered in 64, but the rich could order whatever they wanted.

1baddodge, I agree, this thing needs to sale. I have too many projects and this one just isn't getting the attention it needs. If I could find a /6 and do a head swap, I would get the title thing fixed. But, the 71 cuda takes presidence right now.

Someone interested? Anyone have any e-body parts to trade for the car?

hey cuda hunter, really interested in the car, just waiting to get paid for some stuff... give me a call 612 722 7099, i may have something to trade... '73 jaguar with a sbc??? otherwise i could probably give you cash...

anyone transporting to the chicago or milwaukee area? i may be intersted in this car, wish i had investigated earlier this week, i just got home from denver! would loved to see it.

dang... i was last looking at this thread was certain this would have sold.... crap... wish i hadnt assumed.
