I have a 1973 Duster that needs the trunk lid torsion bars installed. I have the torsion bars, I see that they are not both exactly the same. Is there a left and right side? I am missing the plastic sliders, where can I get them? Do the sliders have to be from a A-body? Any help would be appreciated. If anyone has pictures of how they install that would be great.

Thanks,Doug

That info is here somewhere because I just recently saw it.
Just don't remember where, or who it was.
Same with the sliders, just saw them on a place someone posted.

Probably just have to do a lot of searching on here and Google and I'll bet you find it.

There was a recent thread but it concerned the 67-8-9, don't know how similar they are. These are not that hard, I'm an old man with arthritis, and I managed OK. I've seen the nylon sliders advertised.

On mine, I cut a scrap broom handle and propped the trunk as far open as I could get it, then installed these while lying on cardboard inside the trunk.

Try a shop manual: Don't know if it's the same for 73. I guess 71 is the latest you can download with body info

Here are photos out of my '74 body manual
