i guys ! bought a dakota r/t rwd and im about to swap everything in my barracuda that is 360 and 4 speed 8 3/4 3.23 , even thinking adding the oem cluster of the dakota in the car and the 3.92 suregrip 9.25 but need to swap the axles to a 5 bolt 4.5 bolt pattern , the only concern is fitting the 46re and cut the floor , and to make a custom driveshaft for the car , if you guys have some advice or tips ill apreciate it a lot !!!

on my 73 duster i just cut the loop off the trans cross member, right by the inner bolt hole. i had to cut a very small notch in the floor. used ta hammer on the rest lol but not hard when youre actually doing it.. then fab up a new cross member for trans.. i took the drive line to a drive line shop. gave them the measurements from end of trans tail to the end of diff and then how much the shaft sticks out of trans. was only about 100$ and i used the trans lines put of a van with the same trans.. fits perfectly. i think the truck lines that came on mine, ran into the starter and mounts.

use a close ratio nv3500 5 speed ! There are some parts you will need but your 360 pan will work on it. You can either go v belt(pain) or serpentine with 130A alt. We do them with factory injection which in OUR opinion is vastly superior to carb. If you are going to run 46RE, you will need pcm to run trans so injection will be mandatory, we have FI tanks with pump in tank, harness and while you have it out, check the heads for cracks and ditch the cam for something better. You can PM me for more into or find us on the web, magnummopar. I offer discounts to FABO guys and give out tons of info for free. Evan

I second the motion to calling the Magnum Mopar guys. They have given me killer deals, and a ton of info. Solid guys all the way!
