I got my hands on a decent littler aspen RT a few years back. The car came with a 318. So I decided to step it up a little bit.

Transmission
727 rebuilt
Rear gear 4.10:1
Car weights about 3700lbs (for now)
Nos 200hp shot
Tire 28X9x15

Could run 10's or better, could run 13's

Which eddy heads? Camshaft?

It's not hard to make 450hp which is capable of mid-high 11 second times if it hooks and goes.

I'm a fan of the Aspen R/T's, have a 78 myself.

Need more info on the engine, but my guess would be 12.50's on motor. That is the same cam I run in my 1979 volare station wagon. It is stupid slow, but that isn't the cam's fault. I got bored last christmas, and slapped it in the stock 318, some fresh heads, and a weiand sigle plane LOL.

my car with the 340 in it, ran 12.32@111mph @3450lbs. race weight, the cam was bigger, used ported J heads, and 10.8:1 compression.

I have a soft spot for these F Bodies ;)

I can help you find the weight that needs to be taken out of these cars too. LOL. my car is pretty much complete. Chromoly cage, still has a back seat and interior. race weight now with a dana 60, 727, R3 race block (as heavy as a 440 block LOL) and cast iron W2's, with my 200lbs. in the seat is 3400lbs.

Bumper shocks and structure removed was 140lbs. I think.
60lbs. is sound deadener under the carpet.
Put some light weight buckets in it. There is more, I'd have to go looking again at my notes.

For a more aggressive ride, step it up to something like a Hyd. Voo Doo 60405;

2500 - 6600 .533/.552 - 242/252 - 110-106 Hyd. Lunati says it likes up to a 200 shot of N02.

If you really feel like leaping up, go with a solid roller. This Lunati has high lift for your ported heads. Take advantage of the heads do flow!

#40200732 (pre 2011 #60432)
2800-6800 .578/.585 .016 lash
Duration @ .050 - 243/249

Excellent choice..i run this cam in my "stock stroke" 360 with the Edelbrock heads been in the 11.70's no nitrous needed:D:D

Yeah cool man. Pass on the info. I would really love to get into the 10's on the bottle but...

How was it on the street? Do you have a good video of it running? I would love to hear it. I am really thinking about changing the cam

I am going to look into this camshaft

Very mild mannered on the street..I don't take it out too often with 4.30's and a spool though..:burnout::burnout:

If you choose the "go big" option on cam I have a mean solid roller and all the parts to go with it I'd like to sell. Custom ground from a 4" stroke motor, .630+"

Nice! I would consider a bigger cam to make use of those heads for sure.

I don't have a 4" stroke in my motor

Thanks. I'm going to use the next cam up in my current build for my '73 4spd 4.10 geared Cuda. I may back down to the one I mentioned above.

It will be a 360 @ 11-1 w/ported Edelbrock heads and a 6 pack. Looking for 11's without hammering the hell out of it. I used to be proficient with a 4spd some 12 years ago. LOL!
The car will have a new (1970 style) AAR Cuda hood and glass bumpers for weight reduction.

IMO, if your looking to really step up the power in your ride and you want to create a nice street terror to hand out the beating's, go with a solid roller. Use as much lift as you can get working with your heads.
Speak softly and carry a big stick.
So said Teddy.

Looks like a twin to my car, I have the window
Louvers but have not put them on yet.
