Well yesterday I bought another little summer project- a 1980 Honda XL125S with a 1983 200cc engine on it. Today I did some tweaks and got it started up! The carburetor needs to be adjusted still, but this thing sounds mean (probably due to a crack in the exhaust pipe). I can't wait to ride it after the carburetor is adjusted right.

I love these old school enduros- they are quick, reliable and durable. This is my first 4-stroke enduro too. Gotta love a little summer project to keep you busy :)

That little bike is sweet!

Just rejetted my 1984 XL600R. It has primary and secondary carbs, asynchronous. Removed both the CA emissions 118 main jets and went with a 122 primary and a 123 secondary. Woke her up, what a beast. 300 lb bike with 45 hp. Too bad I almost weigh what the bike does! Gonna move the 123 to the primary and try a 125 secondary, I'll keep going up on the main jets until she doesn't want more.

You might want to go over the frame with a critical eye.I have done a couple of those. Make sure all the mounts are tight and stay tight. Try to run a factory airbox and the 200 carb. You might need to run some different gears lol.

I agree, she looks pretty sweet!
