1981 Dodge Mirada, Silver with blue leather interior

The Good:
Car drives excellent, quiet (no rattles), and handles very well.
The headers and Dynomax mufflers sound AWSOME!
1972 340 engine, speed pro pistons, Comp Ca, headers, etc. Motor is strong, no smoking, Big cam, strong lope.
All electronics work - PS, CD Stereo, PL, Cruise, etc.
AC Works, blows very cold
Has had all police interceptor parts added - Sure Grip rear, sway bars, 125 mph speedo, police steering, etc
I am second owner

The Bad:
Needs heater core - bypassed
Leather is old and cracked, needs reupholstered
Some interior parts old and cracked - I have replacements.
Paint is faded on top surfaces of car - sun damage

I hate to get rid of the car, but I have too many, and can't give it the attention it deserves.

I have some spare parts - front fascia and interior parts as well, will go with car.

$3,500 negotiable. Located in Oxford, AL 36203

very cool car, but what were they thinking with that fuel gauge? its massive.

It's like an inverse tachometer. The faster the mph, the lower the tachometer (gas gage). I suppose they were mimicking the earlier ralley gage clusters. Whats worse, though, is that it originally had an 85 mph speedo! Oh the humanity!

I haven't seen one of those for a looong time. Probably very few left on the road. Seems if I remember correctly didn't they try that body for NASCAR in the early 80's? Cool ride good luck with the sale.

Great article on Wikipedia about the Mirada being tested by Richard Petty at the request of Iaccoca, but it was not aerodynamic enough to be competetive.

are you interested in a trade? 01 Ram 1500 quad cab 5.2 auto(needs replaced) runs great looks good.

how much for the motor and are you sure it's not a 360 ?

Definitely a 340, but i will keep it with the car. My other option is to pull the motor/tranny and put it in my 66 cuda, and put the 273 in the Mirada. But I am not that ambitious...yet.

Jimmy Ray,
Is your Mirada still for sale? If yes, please advise. I sent you a private Message, but haven't heard back from you. I included a phone number too. I'm in the Orlando, Florida area, & approximately 500 miles from you.

Hope to hear from you...Thanks!
