The dates going to July 17th. In Danbury Ct. Easy to get to from I-84.
Bring your Cars, Friends, Families.

We'll have food and Beverages from 12 to 5 then cruise down to Marcus Dairey fro cruise night. It will be a good time

ITS STILL EARLY SO if people want to bring something post it here and when it gets closer to the date, we will post anything else that we might need....we bar b que often ,so we usualy us e lots of :charcoal,(we dont cook with gas...it smells nasty)soda, BEER (bring some with you since nowadays,its not as simple as bud or miller, beer has as many flavors and brands as wine!) oh yea, by the way corona is what i like! :mrgreen:
cups are also nice to have...
 
if Danbury Ct was down the street for San Jose Ca. id be there but its not so u get what im sayin :( :scratch:
 
not for nothing but the car-b-que already exists.. its in its 8th year and we are expecting over 300 mopars.....

"ORIGINALITY" as quoted by websters ....(thats a dictionary dontcha know...)

1: the ability to think and act independently 2: the quality of being new and original (not derived from something else)

the Car-B "Q" crew has been at work for months on their 8th annual show ....a great team of friends and Mopar enthusiasts......

and the fact that it's a charity event (all proceeds donated to TUFF Inc., the Tachtical Unit Funding Foundation.....in memory of James "Zeke" Fabrizio - a fallen officer here in NJ) is just another reason why the "Q" is such a great show....
people wait all year long to come to the Car-B-Que (in NJ that is)

a follower.....tsk tsk what a pity .........i like to think all Mopar men are original

So for you to try & obtain, steal, borrow, copy, or whatever it is your trying to do with our original name without any request or consent it appalling to say the least. :eek:ops:

We struggled our 1st years as an original car show with an original name until we got the recognition we deserved from those who attended and participated positive experiences, but then you come along and basically ride our coat tails by using Car-B-Que name for your.........................dairy cruise ..............

Um.......why not call your show...... The Nationals or Chryslers at Carlisle or Mopars at Englishtown, because....um they are taken already also and so is Car-B-Que for almost a decade.........

think....!!!!!!!

I remember having car-b-ques back in the 80's...

How about Danbury Mopars Car-B-Que?
 
i wasn't trying to start anything i just don't want the two to get confused... they really aren't all that far away from each other.. we have cars from all over the place that come and after all the hard work i really don't want people getting confused between the two thats all... i also don't want the regulars that are on the mailing list to think we had the Q and didn't let them know about it... i hope you can see where i'm coming from?

Joe I know your not trying to start anything. Yours is a show. Im just having a get toghether with some friends. Im not after making this a huge deal. Just to put some names and faces together.

As for Lara. It seems to me you came here for one reason. To complain. I left you a message in the other thread.

Oh yeah. Mines not a Mopar only thing. We'll have some other makes their aswell.

Then you should stop calling it a Car-b-que because Walter use to have them in the 80s :wink:
 
i WAS considering on going to this CAR-B-Q in atco but NOT NOW!!!!...whats the big deal!!!!....that means we cant call it a MOPARTY EITHER??
i see ALOT of MOPARTYS out there and NO ONE is CRYING :cry: over it!!!

i DONT see as a REG TRADEMARK???...so stop :cry: !!!!!
 
I think Lara needs to figure out how to communicate info, because her first message seemed like she was reeming out the creator of the second car-b-que for stealing the name of something that already exists. The tone and way the information was shared make me think she was insulted by the idea of someone else wanting to get together and celebrate the friendship that comes from working on and loving cars. I appreciate the fact that HER car-b-que was non-profit, but this is not a reason to jump all over someone else who wants to share in the joy of building and driving cars. I think she is just defensive of how wrong she was and how even though something may be called the same name, it may still be an original. Lara work on your communication and be careful when you "share information".
 
Well Lara didn't come here to just complain, she came her to make a point. And her point was well taken I can see. But like Abody said we aren't here to cause trouble, its just the Car-b-que has been something near and dear to alot of people for the past 8 years now and has earned a great name for itself. So basically what we are trying to say is that it would be cool if you could come up with something else to call your get together. And I totally understand that yours is not a big show or anything so then it shouldn't be a big deal changing the name either!

using the name is wrong plain and simple.......this show has deep rooted meaning to a lot of wonderful people.........to trivialize it is where your immaturity shows.......and to stomp your foot and cry that your not coming well....allright that speaks for itself too


but as far as im concerned i stated the facts and it made you uncomfortable to hear it.........
 
ok ok this has gotten way out of hand..... the only reason i mentioned it in the first place is i didn't want people(sponsers and participants) getting the two mixed up.... its cool to have a bunch of people over for a bbq. hell thats how our show started and now we get over 300 mopars coming from va,ct,md,del,pa,nj,and all over the place... i think you guys need to give lara a break here.... i don't think it was meant to bash anyone . you kinda have to see it from her side.she and alot of other people have put tons of hours setting this thing up this and in past years and to have another get together going by the same name so close gets you kinda defensive.... i'm sure we all know your not trying to steal the name or anything like that but it would be easy to confuse the two.. maybe when you refer to it you can put forabodiesonly in front of it or something i don't know..... i'm almost sorry i even brought it up in the first place... i really didn't think it would get out of hand like that......

If I'm not mistaken Adam called it the forabodiesonly Car B Que, not the moparcarbque. Mopar has been around longer than 8 yrs so I guess they should change their name to something else, and I could think of a lot of them that would fit their attitude. Joe I just want you to know that my comments are in no way directed at you, what you did, in my opinion, was the proper way in handling what you felt might have caused a lot of miscommunication. This Lara person,thing,whatever really needs to learn how to communicate. If Lara would have followed Joes lead and asked that we change the name because of an event that already exsists instead of coming out chastising and belittling the members of this forum, things wouldn't have gone as far as they did. As far as originality, I guess Laras just a follower too since they had car b ques in the 80's and I should let her know that the 80's are more than 8 yrs ago. And yes Mopar men are orginal but I guess thats a group Lara will never be a part of so I don't expect her to understand.

Joe, glad to have you as a fellow member and friend :thumleft: I hope you don't feel bad about what has transpired, because you have no control over what others will do or say.
 
My point is that this isnt something Im advertising or handing out fliers for.
Its simply me inviting friends over for the day. If people manage to get confused with a show 300 miles away its not my fualt. Ive changed myine to the Car-BA-Que. Theres now in A in the title so its differant and original. Now no one can complain.

Go find another board to start trouble at. :roll:
