pretty sure the #1937 adapter is made for the larger bolt pattern 2 barrels and won't fit the slant and 318 bolt pattern

by the time you get it leak proof it would be easier to buy a 2 barrel intake, besides I've never had much luck with ford carburators, they always seem to flood (speaking from AMC experience)

I'd use a 2300 and set it up for blow through.

you can use a 1937 to adapt a 1bbl manifold into a 2bbl manifold WITHOUT welding...lots of 'how to' on web...just search...
