Just hooked up my wiper linkage to my cleaned up wiper motor, arms are about all the way to the left side ( looking from the drivers seat) is there a way I can test them to see if they will park at the home position? My dash is out and engine harness is apart. Can I use my battery to ground one attachment stud and with the wiper wiring harness hooked up tap 12v to one of the connectors? Looks like dark green or blue would be low or high speed ??! Thanks

What car
What year
Did they work properly before removal

There are test procedures in the fsm

Good info here if the year matches up.

I would recommend you do not have the wiper arms installed when you first test.

If the linkage is not installed correctly you don't want the arms smashing into your paint.

Lastly in some of the earlier 2 speeds, the park was a friction stop. Meaning that the power gets cut at just the right time for the blades to park in the correct location ( my 67 is that way) and the position is adjusted by rotating the gear box cover.

Water on the windshield and they park in the right spot.

No water in the windshield and they will park high
