2002 Dakota starter,mini starter?

thats what I use !!!.....and it fits great.

Mine is not from a 2002....but 1995-2000 Magnum Engine equipped Dakota.

If you haven't picked one up yet, look for one from a 98-older 5.2 Dakota. Technically the 02 starter will bolt up, but in 1999 they started using a harness plug for the solenoid wire. The 98-older version still used a stud and that would simplify your installation. If you go onto Oreilly or Autozone's website and search for a 1997 and 2002 5.2/5.9 starter you will see what I'm talking about. The mini starters are a nice upgrade.
