2005 chrysler 300 with a 440.

No but "I thought about" putting one in a RAM. then I bought a Cummins

Haven’t done it. I’ve thought it’d be kinda cool to buy a slightly wrecked Challenger to swap the Hemi into my Duster, then put a (wait for it) slant 6 back in the Challenger! :D

I'd love to get a high miliege 6 cylinder Challenger and Back half it and drop my 500 stroker/727 in it but I'm just dreaming .

The 300 's are nice and there's alot of them around here with custom wheels and air ride, blown motors,I just found one for 1300 buck and its done to the nuts but has a blown motor,I just have this great 440 727 sitting here and thought It would be a cool engine cradle that could take me on a fast joy ride, lol

Dang skippy.
It really is great. The only “inspections” we have is if a car is bought out of state. And then the only thing they do is run the vin to verify it’s not stolen and check the odometer. When I bought my Scamp out of TN, I took it in to get it “inspected” with no exhaust, rotted out quarters and floor, nonexistent windshield wipers, etc. It was great!! :D

Frankly, I see the resale value "in the toilet". The OUTDOOR toilet

I think it would be cool. If you can put it together for a few thousand bucks even better. Old school power in a modern package, kind of a reverse rat rod.

Next issue will be getting a "computerized" car to run with an old school motor. More sensors and re-mapping.

I found one on the local CL for 750 bucks. Bad starter and flywheel, probably a v6. Looks decent. You could take all the computer crap out and start over from scratch to get the lights, Windows, gauges, horn, whatever working and go. It would be an inexpensive (relatively) and fun project. No painting or rust repair or brake upgrades needed.

no emissions inspection bs around here, they just check the vin if it’s from out of state.

A guy in my province did it the other way. I can’t remember what car he used for the swap. He put everything into a 69 Charger. Kept the 440 and 727. Kim

the engines are basically the same size, it's just the electronics which a crank trigger kit, could be used to send crank position as a signal, cam sensor is actually made to read from the mechanical fuel position (company I won't name cause their customer service is stupid) as well coil pack conversion will help the mix as it may solve other electronic issues. There are already companies making intake manifolds for accepting the injector (if they sponsor me i'll name them) and a simple 90deg adapter will make the throttle body work. If I missed anything let me know as I am still mapping everything out.
