According to cars.com, the 2010 Dodge Ram Trucks are "Most American" in build content.
Ford & Chevrolet are not even in the top 10. It seems Ford only has 55% build content.
So much for the American built Ford aurgument, it may be assembled here, but not with American supplied parts.
Ford held the highest B/C for years. Its easy to be number one when you are the cheapest truck built.

thats intresting,,, last i knew dodge,,,well now called ram brand,,, were built in st louie, and mexico,,,if they have moved them back to us,,,congrats on ma mopar,,,

but removing the dodge name from the truck has set them up to sell off the pick up line,,,if they ever do will be another story,,

Ford and their mexican parts.. I ordered a component from Ford for my 2000 F150, hoping it would be US made, cost double, when it arrived..still made in mexico. Did a little searching, lots of Ford parts made in mexico.. I am NEVER paying one cent to a Ford dealership again EVER. It is refreshing to hear that the Ram has allot of American parts in it. I really wish this country could move more and more towards that Made in the USA mentality. Bring back the Flag!

Too bad Dodge is 35% owned by an Italian company..Ford is ALL AMERICAN..luv my Ford truck:-D:-D

Yeah, Ford with the most upstanding of reputations. What with the Firestone blow out which the placed the blame on the customers, the dealerships, and finally Firestone. Then we have the fire starting Windstar pigtail recall, the fire starting wiper motor recall which affected every vehicle made in the line up from 2000-2003. The everything going back to '93 cruise over ride recall, which is a great recall: the override switch still leaks, only replaced on certain vehicles, but the recall puts a fusible link inline with the cruise. Who cares if your master cylinder leaks? The Focus, the most recalled car in history. The rear brake recall on the 500/Freestar/Taurus line, without providing enough parts to perform the recall. The seat back recall on the F250s and bigger, the SRS reflash recall on the Mustang. We can go even further back if you like, with all the recalls involving hood latches from the '70s that they didn't learn from and had the same recall on more modern vehicles from this millennium. But I think you get the picture.

And, of course, we have the statement "Ford is all American." The Escort, the Focus, the Fiesta, (new and old) the Festiva, the Contour, all started life as British platform vehicles.

are they really mostly USA or just "america"?....i just read and interesting article somewhere about things "made in america". and apparently a lot of places label things as "made in america" which is different than "made in the usa". mexico is part of the americas, and therefore they can claim its "made in america" they just dont say its south america. the article said that most stuff made in usa says "made in the usa" vs "made in america"...just thought it was interesting and this was the perfect spot to share...

Good point; well taken.

The new Hemi blocks are cast in Mexico....

My Dodge has a Mexican engine and a German trans, and is assembled in Canada, nevermind all the Asian parts.

Who cares where their cars are built..My truck was built right here in AMERICA..:-D:-D

Mexico is Central America. ;)

Chrysler is the one that started that crap! Whichever heap they were selling in the early 90s with the "cab forward" design had Edward Herrman talking about how it was made in North America (which is marketing speak for Canada). I can't remember the model, but I know they went through transmissions about every 30K miles or so.
