2018 8th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Time For Your NITRO Fix! Here We Go Again!!!

Congratulations to 'Back in Time' (FABO) and 'memike' (FABO) for sharing the win for the 2018 AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals "Top Picker Eliminator" title with a outstanding totals of 176.0 points. They both picked the class winners in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock, and their Pro Stock Motorcycle pick lost in the semi-final round of eliminations. Their point totals were also helped by picking up Speed bonus points in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.
'Budnicks' (FBBO) was the event runner-up with 155.5 points.
Our visiting player, 'gtxracer' (FBBO) scored 96.5 points. I hope he sticks around for the rest of the Countdown and then comes back as a regular player for the 2019 season.

As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, October 12th in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 2:45PM EDT (11:45PM PDT).

No rain currently showing in the extended forecast, but who knows what changes Hurricane Michael might churn up.

'johnnycuda' (FABO) grabbed the runner-up spot with 27.5 bonus points.
Our game visitor, 'gtxracer' (FBBO), played again this week and had a qualifying total of 23.5 bonus points. He posted that he will be back in the thick of things as a regular player for the 2019 season.

* 6 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 if all four drivers win their opening round of eliminations.
* 5 different Pro Stock drivers picked this week with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #7 qualifier Greg Anderson (2 picks) and #8 qualifier Vincent Nobile (1 pick). There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations. There are only 14 Pro Stock entries at this event.
* 6 different Pro Stock motorcycle drivers picked this week one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #5 qualifier Hector Arana Jr. (1 pick) and #12 qualifier Scotty Pollacheck (1 pick). There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations.
