Congratulations to 'Moms Duster' (FABO) for winning the Top Qualifier title for the 32nd annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals with a nice total of 20.5 bonus points. He picked the #3 qualifier in both Funny Car and Pro Mod, and the #4 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!
'cuda20' (FABO) and 'stroked340' (FABO) share the #2 qualifier spot with 17.5 bonus points.
'Budnicks' and '64BEL' are the top FABO qualifier with 14.0 bonus points each.

We have 17 players this week and 17 different driver combos made up of:
* 7 different Top Fuel drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #6 qualifier Mike Salinas (1 pick) and the #11 qualifier Antron Brown (4 picks). There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations if they all survive the opening round.
* 8 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #8 qualifier Jack Beckman (1 pick) and the #9 qualifier Bob Tasca III (1 pick). There could also be three head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 5 different Pro Mod drivers picked this week with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #3 qualifier Steve Jackson (1 pick) and #14 qualifier Khalid al-Balooshi (1 pick). There could be one head-to-head matchup in the 2nd round of eliminations.

Here are the results and point standings following completion of the 5th NHRA event of the 2019 season, the 32nd annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals.

Congratulations to 'cuda20' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 32nd annual Mopar Express Lane SpringNationals with a very nice total of 127.5 points. He was helped with both ET and Speed bonus points in Top Fuel. He picked the class winners in both Top Fuel and Funny Car, and his Pro Mod pick went to the semi-finals before losing.
'Back in Time' (FABO) was the event runner-up with 104.5 points. He was also helped with ET and Speed bonus points in Top Fuel.
'Budnicks' was the top FBBO player with 74.0 points.

The 6th race of the 2019 season, the 10th annual NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, is April 26-28 at zMAX Dragway Park in Concord, North Carolina.
Pro Stock is not competing at this event, but Pro Stock Motorcycle is returning to competition.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, April 26th in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 4:00PM EDT (1:00 PM PDT).
The Four-Wide Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 12 Top Fuel, 14 Funny Car and 13 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries but that is always subject to change. Keep checking the NHRA.com website for an updated entry list to make sure your picks are competing at this event.

Professional classes at the Four-Wides start Friday, April 26th. Current forecast calling for a high temp of 69F on Friday with light rain from 7-11AM turning into thunderstorms until 2PM and then rain until 4PM. Saturday forecast is a high temp of 73F, and Sunday forecast shows a high temp of 80F.
The current entry list shows:
16 Top Fuel - still no sign of a Tony Schumacher entry
19 Funny Car
19 Pro Stock Motorcycle

Pro Stock will not be racing at this event or the next. Pro Stock will return at the Virginia NHRA Nationals mid-May.

Interesting thing I noticed on the nhra.com entry list for Top Fuel is that Leah Pritchett's entry is again listed as "DSR Top Fuel Team" rather than a sponsor name.
