Congratulations to 'stroked340' (FABO) for winning the 12th event of the 2023 NHRA season, the 35th annual Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals Top Qualifier title with an outstanding total of 22.5 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifiers in Pro Stock Motorcycle, the #2 qualifier in Funny Car, and the #3 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!

* 4 different Top Fuel drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #6 qualifier Clay Millican (1 pick) and #9 qualifier Brittany Force (9 picks). The next possibility of a head-to-head matchup is in the semi-final round if the drivers survive that far.
* 5 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 hed-to-head matchup between teammates #6 qualifier Robert Hight (2 picks) and #11 qualifier John Force (1 pick). There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchup in the 2nd round of eliminations if all drivers survive Round 1.
* 4 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. If all four picked drivers survive to the semi-final round of eliminations, they would all meet in two head-to-head matchups.

I've mentioned several times about a 'blind squirrel' that's helped ocdart (FABO) find some decent picks in the past. Now I'm going to have to buy that squirrel a big bag of unsalted and already-shelled nuts as a reward for the total of 125.0 points scored for the 34th annual Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals! Those "squirrely" picks were Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycle picks that won their respective classes and a Funny Car pick that lost in the semi-final round of eliminations. The Pro Stock Motorcycle pick also helped with ET bonus points.
'64BEL' (FBBO) got the runner-up spot with 114.5 points.

Wow! Almost 8 hours of coverage (most of it live) from Topeka yesterday. I hope y'all enjoyed it as much as I did.
Some of the extended "filler" between rounds was really informative and enjoyable.
The only problem is the coverage ended later than usual and I didn't have time to do the results for the "Pick 'Em" game. I hope to have them posted tonight.

Don't forget that in this game the points get reset after the U.S. Nationals on Labor Day weekend. The point spread will be much tighter following the reset.
 
Congratulations to 'cuda20' (FABO) for winning the 25th annual Menards NHRA Nationals "Top Picker Eliminator" title with an outstanding total of 148.5 points. This was possibly the final national event at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, KS.
All three of his professional class, Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock, won their respective classes. His point total was also helped with ET bonus points in Top Fuel and Speed bonus points in Pro Stock.
'Duster79' (FABO) and 'Outlawd' (FBBO) tied for the runner-up spot with 138.0 points.
