Yes, you did, and I recorded your Pole pick correctly but just went into 'brain failure'. I apologize.

Congrats on being the only player to correctly pick #4 Michael McDowell to win the Pole for the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona!

No apologies needed . You do a great job with this.

Congratulations to the legendary Wood Brothers Racing team for their 100th victory in NASCAR!
Wood Brothers Racing holds the unique distinction of being the oldest active team in NASCAR, having fielded cars since 1950. The team was first formed by brothers Ray Lee, Clay, Delano, Glen and Leonard Wood. Today the team is owned by the children and grandchildren of Glen Wood.

Nobody picked the Coke Zero 400 race winner, #21 Harrison Burton, so no race winner bonus points this week.

Congrats to 'Sublime one' (FABO) whose 'locked' pick of the race runner-up, #8 Kyle Busch, picked up -3 bonus points.

'Alsant' (FBBO) had the low net score of the week honors with 12.0 points.

#4 Josh Berry was the race leader at the end of the first stage, #22 Joey Logano was in 2nd.
#22 Joey Logano was the race leader at the end of second stage, #12 Ryan Blaney was in 2nd.

As a reminder here's a quick explanation of what the above numbers represent:
(your score before the race) (your Pole pick car #) (Pole winner bonus point) (race pick car #) (race pick car #) (Stage 1 bonus points) (Stage 2 bonus points) (race pick finish position) (race pick finish position) (race winner/runner-up bonus points) (your score after the race)
Please let me know if I show either your Pole or Race picks incorrectly or if you have any questions.

Please post your picks for the next race and let me know if you want to "lock" them in for future weeks. I will put an "L" before either your Pole pick or your race picks to show they've been "locked".
As always, you can always make different picks each week. Your "locked" picks will always be there should you forget to post your race picks, your computer malfunctions or the site should go down temporarily.

Don't forget to get your picks for the final race of the 2024 regular season, the Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, SC, posted before the green flag drops at approximately 6:15 PM EDT (3:15 PM PDT) on Sunday, September 1. Any race picks or changes to previously posted race picks for this race posted after 6:15 PM EDT (3:15 PM PDT) will not be recognized.

Your Pole Pick for the Cook Out Southern 500 will need to be posted before practice and qualifying starts. The schedule has not yet been posted on nascar.com. I will update this post as soon as the information is available.

(08/26/24 update)
Your Pole Pick for the Cook Out Southern 500 will need to be posted before practice and qualifying starts at 12:35PM EDT (9:35AM PDT) on Saturday, August 31. Any qualifying picks or changes to previously posted qualifying picks for this race posted after 12:35PM EDT (9:35AM PDT) will not be recognized.

I am so happy for the Wood Brothers racing, and for the young Burton driver and his family. Nothing could make me more happy as the last green flag flew.

Post #633 has been updated to show the practice and qualification date and time for the Cook Out Southern 500.

I will be out of the house tomorrow during both NASCAR practice and qualifying so I will have to rely on the time of your post to verify your Pole pick is made before qualifying starts.
Qualifying is scheduled to start at 1:20 PM EDT (10:20 AM PDT) Saturday, August 31.

Bubba and Blainy for the win here !!
23 and 12 cars

BooBoo Wallace got the pole for tomorrow.

24/5 win. Need a good day. Last few weeks have been brutal.

Congratulations on the pole win Bubba Wallace!!

#23 Bubba Wallace on the Darlington Pole, but nobody picked him to be the quickest qualifier so no Pole Pick bonus award this week.
