Will a 215 60 14 BFG TA fit on the 14x6 rim.My Duster is geting the front Cragers soon,I have a new spare 215 60 14 would like to use it.I think it will, my LB ralleys have that size now.thoughts.I have never had a 60 series tire on the front befor, when i took the Duster for a test ride i king of like it.:burnout:

The 70 series tires fit on a 5.5" wheel, I have 225/70 FWIW.

225/70R14 = 26.4x8.9R14

215/60R14 = 24.2x8.5R14

The answer there is 'YES'.

I have a bad attitude towards the T/A that double as hockey pucks, and roller skates.. :D

That raised white lettering is sure worth the crap compound though!

6" would be the minimum, for good tire life, and reasonable handling; but then, with 215s you probably aren't looking to corner.

The checking size rim for passenger tires is 70% of the branded tire size.IMHO,generally that should be considered the minimum rim size.
I have been running 235/60-14s BFGs for about 10 years or more, on 7 inchers (6.5 would be the minimum). The wear is very good at 29psi. The grip in the corners, goes away as the tires age tho.
I have a second set of wheels for cornering 245/50-15 on 8s (with 6.75 as the minimum)
I had to trim the corners of the fenders at the front lower edge, so either tire would clear.

It will fit but it is tight and will wear the center of the tread more, since the sidewalls are pulled in due to how narrow the wheel is. Their section width is almost 8.5". Do the math.

LMAO I have grade 8 math ya right.Would the 7 inch be a better choice?

with the amount we drive these cars Don you'll be fine.I ran 235 60's on the '69 Dart
i had before the Duster...on rallies that were either 5 1/2 or 6" wide and you are 215 which
are smaller.

215's on a 6" rim will fit all day long.
Ive run 235's on 5.5" steelies with no problems.

My suggestion to you would be to run 70 series tires on your 14" rims.
They fill the fender well up much better than 60 series.
215/70-14 for example work well on A bodies.

i was going to suggest this.
215/60 may look a little short compared to the 255/60/15's on the back
..it may look a little more balanced with 215/70 up front to some..

I just put 235/60/14 Cooper Cobras on 14x6 Motor Wheel Spyders.

It's one size over max 'recommended' width, and I was hesitant, but they went on relatively easy, were super easy to seal the bead and look good mounted.

I was afraid the sidewall might not flex enough or that the tire would be bowed in the tread center.

Neither was an issue.
