225/55/17 early a body

[Henchman]

Will a 225/55r17 fit the rear of a 1965 valiant convertible that’s been lowered 2”? Wheels are 17x7.
I’m attempting to determine the size for temporary rear tires to run until i four link and build wheel tubs to fit a much larger rear tire.
can I go bigger perhaps?
Maybe a 235 or 245?

I just want to get the rims on and cruise it with the /6 while the v8 is being built.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Wheels came today, can’t wait to get them mounted up!
Waiting on tires now.

The springs are in the stock location. The rear end is a 73 Dart 8.25 with jeep rear discs.

I bought the cheapest e bay tires I could get.
I went with 225/50/17 and they fit just fine.
