So I get back from 1/4 mile racing and go to change the wheels and tires back to my 17 inch street wheels, just for the heck of it I try to put the 255's on the front. Wouldn't you know the damn things fit and look great. The front of the car would wash out on the autocross course with the 225's. 255's have to help the front end stick better.

That's awesome. I plan to cram some 235-60-15 up front on my 74 Swinger
are you 255-50s? since they are 17 inch wheels?

I have the Showtime wheels. 17x8 with a 4.5 inch back space. Nitto 555 255x45x17 tires. Suspension mods: 1.06 FF bars, Big front sway bar, poly bushings every where, FF Stage III PS box and cooler, Bilstein shocks, FF pitman arm bearing plate, FF rear sway bar, two left SS leaf springs and two Ehringburg tricks, reduced PS pressure and a pair of kicker shocks mounted horizontally to the rear axle (controls windup and hopping during braking). I tried to load pictures from my smart phone but I think the resolution is to high and it wouldn't upload.

how tall are those tires? I tried 255/50-16's and they stick out to far, need a lot more BS, probably about 5.5 or so for an 8"

They are listed as 26 inch tall tires. I measured the height with it mounted and the weight of the car on it at 25.25 inches. I have pictures on my phone that will not upload. How do I resize them so I can post the them?
