273 & 318 Connecting rod weights

Thanks Rob. I had seen those, price is too steep for me right now lol BUT they are cheaper than the Icons lol

Keep lookin around. Hawk Ebay and all the rest. you'll eventually find a deal on them. That is IF you need floaters. Keep in mind too, a competent machine shop can cut grooves for circlips in a pressed fit piston.

Although I don't know how cost effective that would be VS just buying floating pin pistons to begin with.

Good point on machining grooves. I'll get a price.
The block is already .030" over. Thanks tho!

Well........remember that time I shipped you a pie pan?

Of course I do. I appreciate the offer again. Lemme see what other piston options I come up with budgetwise. I was looking forward to ordering the Sealed power ones for $140. I thought it was a great deal. Plus the compression height was better than stock (not much but 1.745 vs 1.720 stock)

Just let me know man. We may fuss and fight on here, but I still consider you a friend and will be glad to help.

I dont have separate weights.

Tnx for the data point. My numbers add up to 1570 grams.... pretty much in the middle of your numbers and the OP's.

Weights of 70 318 piston and con rod.
Pistons are not stock. They are TRW L2373.030 basically truck pistons 30 over and approx .150" in the hole.
Specs
Total weight of assy (less bearings) 1530 grams(with bearing 1577.5)
Con rod #2406782 (no bearings) 723.7 grams
Pins and locks (floater) 156 grams
Pistons with rings 650.3 grams

Hope this helps. Pics coming
