Hello all,

I just picked up a rough and tired 67 273 Commando. I want to go through it and make it street worthy and reliable. Pretty much keep it stock, replace what's worn and put it back together.

Who do you recommend for the machining / engine work?

Thanks

Give Cogswell Marine and Motorsports in Chula Vista. Just straight down the 5 in South Bay San Diego.

I have a set of EQ 5.9 cylinder heads getting worked up a long with a kegger intake plenum mods (Utawesome) over there. I have had a hot 318 built there with his ported Speedmaster heads. Mitchell is a small block Mopar guy through and through. He's built and raced a ton of them. Nice family run (Father/Son/Mother/Daughter) machine shop.

I'll tell you how confident I am in his work, I've since moved from San Diego to Oklahoma and still had the EQ heads dropped shipped to him and sent him the aluminum intake and mod parts too. I routinely go back out there so I will just pick up the parts later.

@Bossanova5
Work performed for me on various LA engine builds and machine work: oiling mods, intake match/clean up and cylinder head porting, performance/race valve jobs, flow bench, engine assembly, high temp engine coatings (Cerakote).

Check the bore first, Magneflux the heads, then get back to us. Probably won't need much. The auto trans is also a keeper, 4.2 kick down lever. Just change the filter and fluid (you can also drain the torque converter), reseal, adjust the bands, and up the pressure.
