What were your issues? I've been running this way a few years now but haven't put maybe 4k miles as of yet.I thought you said you had Edelbrock heads?
I tried stock non-adjustable on mine too, no go.

They hit the springs too. IIRC they wouldn't even get to the point where the shaft would bolt to the head. What were your issues? I've been running this way a few years now but haven't put maybe 4k miles as of yet.
60971 Heads? One of my valve covers is leaking so I will have to check it out while replacing the gasket. I built the motor myself and did not see anything but now I will double check.

So, I pulled one of the rocker assemblies off last night. I was worried after comments on clearance issues. Last year I replaced my original 340 arms with Eclin rockers so I don't have an original at this point to compare but all looks good to me. Looks like there is a clearance notch cast into them as well. They hit the springs too. IIRC they wouldn't even get to the point where the shaft would bolt to the head.
the ones that didn't work for me are factory junk from 1978If I remember correctly, so of the DC and MP, and possibly some other after market HP rockers were stamped to clear larger springs.
