Just wondering if anyone has an old 3,000 or slightly higher stall 727 converter laying around before I go order a custom one.

I picked one up a tci reasonable (new),, believe it or not WAL MAR had the best price !!! but summit price matched with free delivery !!!!

Ive got a Turbo action3800
Its used ran 1/8 mile @Eddyville behind a 383 Im thinking $450
Turbo Action is the best for average hp application s

Not sure but I think that would be a little too much stall for my cam with a powerband of 2,500-6,500 but then again I'm not great at the balancing out part for converters. I was told you need to run more converter than the cams powerband but I'm not sure exactly how much

Cubic inches matter
Weight of the car
A heavy car with a huge torquey mtor would stall3400-3600
You can see how hiway speed& 2600 rpm would ruin a converter

318 magnum, 3,000 pounds factory plus probably 400 pounds worth of roll cage

Don’t forget that your 318 will never stall a 2600 converter at 2600. More like 2000 to 2100. The 318 just doesn’t have the torque. That’s why it is recommended to have a 3500 or so. Kim

904 trans trans would work better
Proper 8 pt is much lighter
I recommend Pearson in Fairfax area
360 magnum would help
Ive got a 3500 904 converter

figure out where the peak torque number will fall. Add about 200-300 rpm, thats about where you want the convertor to flash
