I ran across a guy with a 73 B Body with a small block & 3 speed & was curious what I can use from it to swap onto a 340 4spd swap & what I should grab. Thanks in advance for your input

I don't know what "shop balanced" is but if the bellhousing has both bolt patterns, it would be one item to grab along with the dust covers. I would get the clutch fork, clutch assy, and flywheel too even if you have to have it rebalanced for an internal 340. If your car is an A-body, not much else will do you any good. If yours is another B-body that year, I'd get the pedal assy, clutch linkage, steering column, and floor hump.

Bell housing is different. The attaching bolts for the Z-bar are at an angle instead of straight vertical. Check that if the two bolts are straight up and down the bell wiil work. Thats about it.

My 340 is fresh & I had the lower end balanced when built, making is neutral balanced. Aren't all 318's neutral balanced as well?

318 are neautral balanced.
