Will remflex gaskets alone make where the manifolds clear. I know from experience that remflex gaskets are thicker. It made my header clearance in my 64 Valiant a little tighter. Thanks in advance.

I ran 302 heads using 1965 273 B-body manifolds. I didn't use gaskets, bolted the manifolds right up to the heads and no leaks. I did plug the emission ports using a tap and 1/4 inch set screws.

I'm running 302 heads on my '69 318 Barracuda and have no issues with cast iron manifolds (340 driver/360 passenger). I used regular factory type gaskets.

Hmmmmm........thanks guys. I've plugged them the little holes......on run stand with headers and no leaks.

As soon as I seen it. I seem to remember something about this issue and when I googled it shows a thread on this site talking about and grinding the head.

I'm running the stock A-body 318 manifolds. I just noticed that the manifold on the driverside is against heads. I'll post pictures.

Here are a couple of photos. I'm thinking Remflex gaskets will make it all good. I can't fit an O'Reilly's receipt in between it and the head.

That must be the problem??? I never installed stock exhaust manifolds on my 318 with 302 heads. When I installed the 302 heads I also swapped in the 340 driver and 360 passenger manifolds. It seems like a little grinding on the head would fix the problem but maybe someone else has a better idea??
