318 2bbl BBD flow? Improvements?

360 2bbl on a big-port intake. I think those were Holleys. They were born lean tho, so you'll have some work to do.
71 Demon had a Rochester. IIRC the base was bigger and, it came on a small-port single plain, like was on the 273.

I'd say try a different booster, don't hog out the venturi. Look around and see if there's a main body spacer so you can run a bigger bore.

my thought is.... and this is what I believe on all carbs, is that the venturi size is the dominating factor, not the butterfly size. Your potentials are limited to the venturi size.

Agreed, I put AFB 500 cfm and a 625 side by side, the butterflies were the same, 625 had larger venturis
