And where do I find all these 318 small port closed chamber heads? Are you hoarding a huge stash of 273 heads in your chicken coop? 302 heads are fairly easy to come by and offer advantages. I have owned no less than 12 cars with 318's and the 2 I have have now using 302 heads run the best overall and on 87 octane (real daily drivers) WTF do you drive everyday? or can you even move your 400lb *** off the couch? I would like to try Magnum heads on 318's but more $$ to set up may as well just start with a 5.2 or 5.9 then.

Jimbob, look unknown character behind a keyboard...I dont give a **** what you drive. It doesnt make you more knowledgeable or dumber. You bringing it up is a sure sign of losing an arguement though. If you dont believe that filling a cylinder more by increased port flow can raise the cylinder pressure...then you don't have as much understanding of engines as you think.
As for Hysticle , he showed up ready to pounce on anyone not saying nice things about 302 heads he himself runs. It reminds of when I was so immature I'd argue to death a j head over a magnum head. 'The j head flows more ported' lol by a lot..but to each his own....maybe we can dig up and beat the dust out of that horse while we're on a roll here ..bet hesticle would like that. In all seriousness..I had a couple 318 cars, great drivers.
I've been running 340's for 20 yrs or so though, bb and slants before. Nothing wrong with a 318s. We all like the same ****, we just do it differently, remember that. Facts are facts, dont try and blur the truth just cause you fancy them. That 302 chamber works better modified btw, it's a shrouded pos.
I have 2 sets good and one set bad. I can pin the bad set. I wont be using any of them.
I will port them, do a multi angle valve job..and sell then to guys like you, and others...who are good people. I get about 800 or so for a set done up. ALL 318 INTAKE PORTS ARE DECENT AND TAKE LITTLE WORK TO ALL DO ABOUT THE SAME CFM @.500.
Food for thought...I have helped with an engine that was a refresh of used parts..needed 2 piston that were found off ebay...2 pistons that yielded about a full point of compression LESS as it turned out.. but that's what we had this round ...the difference on the dyno was 1.2hp!!!!!!!!!
