Does Walker or the like make head pipes for the 318 manifolds?

Our Carquest is going out of business and everything is cheap, was hoping I could get a set of head pipes from them.

All I've been able to find is accurate and tti. Not interested in dropping that kind of coin.

I have the dual exhaust (header back) with mufflers that came off my dart so I was going to work with that, but I need the head pipes first.

Never had a car with manifolds so this is new for me.

To my knowledge there was never a factory dual exhaust made for passcar 318s- I think the best you'll be able to do is get a 318 A body Y pipe to start with, cut it apart and start welding something up that you can work with.

Got it. Didn't think of that. I'll do some more digging.
I think the '74 Road Runner 318 2bbl came with dual exhaust

i know it's a lot of dosh to throw down, but here's a 2nd rec for TTI head pipes. i've used them a bunch and the fit is absolutely perfect, parts are top quality.

it's a small price to pay in the interest of not fiddle-******* around with some low-rent junk and burning a day while being frustrated because you need to order some dumb reducer or connector or whatever.

You'd faint if you saw what I did to get duals snaked into my Dakota.
Sometimes ya gotta just bite the bullet and buy a box of welding rod!
(Hint: I bought a big box of 2 1/2" EMT bends and fittings for a couple a bucks from an electrical contractor who was closing up shop...)

oh make no mistake, as a younger man i've certainly wrangled baskets snakes and burned miles of welding wire in the name of getting it done on the cheap and nasty.

but now older and slightly wiser, i'd rather spend a few bucks more and not hate life. besides, if i ever sell a car, my name's on it and i have to protect what little reputation i've got! ;D

What? You actually sell your cars?? I've even got a couple of POSs I can't seem to let go of...

My first thought was to head to exhaust shop for the flanges and some pipe. I need something to get the car running. Currently no exhaust at all.

Then I could probably either use the 2.5 duals, I have (made for the 70 Dart floor, axle exit) or buy a summit kit.

So I will take the manifolds down and get some flanges and go from there.

Thanks, everyone.

'69 Barracuda small block single exhaust > Chop Chop.

Did not know they ran the single pipe down the driver's side.

Head Pipes, maybe you can find a single exhaust Y-pipe take off that you can cut for your head pipes???

I use single exhaust Y-head pipe on my engine run stand.

76 small block truck manifolds setup.

Bought that off Rock Auto when they were available, new.

If you're in no hurry I have a 318 in my Coronet. It has a single exhaust that I'm going to replace with dual exhaust so when it comes out you're welcome to the head pipes. However, this is several weeks down the road at the moment.

That'd be great. I'm a little way out from finishing the motor. Just let me know. Thank you!
