318 lifter question

If you look around a bit you will find a LOT more lifter and cam failures than there used to be, due to cost cutting, material used and plain old product quality control issue's.

If it is a "NEW' Purple Shaft from years ago I would say the lifters will be fine.
I just went thru this with a new Comp cam and lifters last year on a 318 and had 4 Comp lifters that would not pump up.Wasted my time by pulling them and cleaning but still wouldn't pump up. Lots of complaints about lifters recently. Installed the Lunati lifters with the snap ring retainer and everything is fine.
